“… One of the unexpected highlights was the four person ski lift somewhat ostentatiously dubbed Quadzilla. In the afternoons, it was staffed by a team of Jamaicans, who had reggae blaring out of their boombox, and were throwing an American football around while waiting for skiers to arrive at the lift. However, they always took time out from football to man the lift - one each side - to take the sting out of the speed of the seats. Which is a nice change from some of the French ski lifts, where I could swear the lift attendants kick the seat toward you, just at the point it’s about to whack you in the lower back …”
